Temple details
- About this temple
Gujarat Tourism lists it among the Char Dham pilgrimage places, with Badrinath, Puri, and Rameswaram. The same page describes a hilltop approach of more than fifty steps, sculptured walls around the Krishna sanctum, smaller shrines in the complex, and a 43-metre spire with a flag of 52 yards of cloth. Entry and exit are through doors named Swarg and Moksh. Gujarat Tourism records that the original structure was destroyed in 1472 and subsequently rebuilt in the 15th–16th century, with later renovation marks from the 16th and 19th centuries. The temple trust's own pages record Janmastami as the principal festival, with other documented observances including Annakut, Holi, Dhuleti, Akshay Trutiya, and Rath Yatra.
